Where Italian Craft Meets New York Soul
Our Story
Vetro — Italian for glass — reflects our founding philosophy: transparency in sourcing, clarity in flavor, and an open kitchen where nothing is hidden.
Ristorante Vetro was born from a single vision: to bring the soul of Italian regional cooking — the handmade pasta of Bologna, the fresh seafood of Sicily, the slow-braised meats of Tuscany — to the energy of New York City.
Opened in 2018 in Midtown Manhattan, Vetro quickly earned a loyal following. Our interior, designed by Milan-based studio Arco & Forma, features Carrara marble surfaces, white oak walls, and the Murano glass pendants that give us our name.
Born in Verona, trained at Alma in Parma — Italy's most prestigious culinary institute — and shaped by three years alongside Michelin-starred Massimo Bottura at Osteria Francescana.
"Italian cooking is not about complexity. It is about finding the best ingredient and disturbing it as little as possible."
